A routine check-up can help to identify your risk of serious illness or confirm you're doing great! The exam may include:
- A current assessment on your health. This includes family history, age, diet, activity level and other factors that impact your health.
- Your provider may order lab tests depending on your age and risk factors to detect any underlying conditions such as diabetes or heart disease. Early detection saves lives.
- Updated vaccinations. Depending on age and gender, a booster for vaccinations may be needed along with annual vaccines such as flu, covid, and pneumonia.
- Review prescriptions and medications to make sure they're still needed, or if a dose needs to be updated. Your medical provider will also review medications to make sure they don't interact negatively.
- Discuss any health concerns and ask questions you may have.
