CHS Cares

Every year since 1998, Community Health Services (CHS) Employees have provided funds for local non-profit organizations in need of assistance for the people they serve. It is our way of "giving back" to the communities that we serve. Over the years, our employees have given thousands of dollars to local causes. The employee fund was started by Kaye Letzring who worked at CHS for over 20 years and died before her time of cancer. In her memory, CHS employees gave the first $1,500 to start the Sandusky County Cancer Care Fund.

Employees hold several fundraising events throughout the year in order to raise money for this fund, which is ultimately used for charitable organizations within CHS' service delivery area. All of the funds raised are the personal funds of the employees who hold baked good auctions, charitable luncheons, 50/50 raffles, etc. All CHS employees vote on all charitable applications received.

If your organization is within the CHS service delivery area, and you would like us to consider your organization for a financial contribution, please review the FAQ:
